So we are back! I hope all of our returning members had a great break! We also welcome any new members we pick up this time around.
We have our MANDATORY introductory meeting on January 20th, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. If you are planning to join this semester (including all returning members) you must attend, if for some reason you cannot you MUST e-mail Sara Schemmel at kuclubvball@hotmail.com before Sunday.
We will have an opening week to our season consisting of:
Open Gym - Tuesday, January 22nd from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Tryouts - MANDATORY- Thursday, January 24th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Again, if there is a reason you cannot attend the Tryouts, even as a returning member, you must talk with Sara. You will be informed of your assigned team within a couple of days after the tryouts. You should be prepared to pay your dues by Monday, January 28th by 5:00 PM. You will not be allowed to practice with the team unless you have paid dues and fulfilled the attendance requirements listed above. The dues will be the same as last semester:
National Team - $150
Regional Team - $125
Local Team - $75
Please take the time between the introduction meeting and payment of your dues to think over the comittment of joining our club. Though we do not cut anyone and we welcome all skill levels we expect a high level of commitment. You will be expected to show up to all of our scheduled practices and fundraising opportunities. We also travel to several tournaments each semester and host one ourselves. If we do not take the full team then we are at a loss and this lets the rest of the team down who come to play their best. So make sure you can set aside from school, work and social activities without sacrificing more than you are willing to. If you can fit us in then you will be highly rewarded with the fun we enjoy as a club and with your team!
